Product detailed description
Naturally semi-sweet red wine, prepared from the grapes of Alexandrouli and Mujuretuli, harvested in the micro-zone of Khvanchkara. Harvest - first week of October. Only bio preparations are used during the vineyard maintenance, while the wine is fermented on wild yeast. The color is dark brick color quite full-bodied, long-lasting flavors and sweet aftertaste, round tannins presense is obvious. Forest berries are strongly pronounced on the aroma, especially the tones of black currants.
Located in the village of Bolnisi in Kartli region, Barbale Winery is one of the most promising and exciting wineries on the emerging Georgian wine scene. The winery was founded in 2016 and is now managed by enologist Berdia Berishvili. Traditional Georgian and European-style wines are produced here from native grapes from organically grown vineyards in the historic wine regions of Kartli and Kakheti.
