The wine cellar was founded in 2018 by Levan Kbiltsetskhlashvili, a 34-year-old winemaker and lawyer by profession. This small family cellar is located in a small village - Navazi, in the northeast of Georgia, not far from the capital - Tbilisi. The name of the cellar "Naferi" means care, attention and expresses our relationship to the vine and winemaking traditions. The vineyards cover one hectare, on the south-eastern slopes. The soil is mainly carbonate, medium stony. Napheri cellar does not use systemic chemistry when growing vineyards, the dry climate and windy environment help them to care for the vineyards with only natural fertilizers. Napheri makes wine in Kvevri using an 8000 year old Georgian traditional method. 15 Kvevria are buried in the cellar, which is an ideal environment for wine production.
